Kansas City police have identified a couple who died in a fiery crash in the Northland on New Year’s Day as Ralph L. and Debra D. Sutton of Gladstone.

Police said Anatoliy Savinkov, 37, of Overland Park was driving a car that ran into another car that was stopped at a traffic light on Northeast Vivion Road at Northeast Antioch Road.

Officers were called to the intersection just after midnight. When they arrived, officers found a gold Toyota Camry on fire with two people trapped inside. They also found another vehicle, a silver Suzuki Verona, with an unresponsive driver.

Police said Ralph L. Sutton was 62 years old and his wife was 55 years old.

Investigators determined that prior to the collision the Toyota Camry was stopped eastbound on Vivion for the red traffic light at Antioch. The Suzuki was traveling eastbound on Vivion when it struck the Toyota from behind. As the Suzuki pushed the Toyota toward the east through the intersection, the Toyota caught fire. Both occupants of the Toyota died at the scene, said Sgt. Tony Sanders.

Savinkov, who was alone in the vehicle, later died at a hospital. Initial reports indicate that the vehicle driven by Savinkov was likely exceeding the speed limit and there was no evidence that the car tried to stop or evade a collision. There was no immediate evidence on whether alcohol was a factor in the crash, Sanders said.

What they neglected to mention was that Ralph and Debbie Sutton were absolutely amazing human beings who made an active and positive difference in the lives of everyone who knew them and that they will be missed so very, very intensely.

I'm going to miss you Ralph and Debbie. I don't even know how this world is going to work when deprived of your goodness. I don't know what to think about a world that lets people like you die in that truly horrifying fashion.

Yeah.
What are some of the ethical issues that we face today?

I'm looking for help in compiling a list of questions that have to do with ethics. It can be major issues like war and abortion, or "minor" issues like... lies and cheating. I want the types of issues that you come across in life. The dilemmas that everyone someday must face/solve.

I'm not seeking the actual answers... just the questions.

Comment here and tell me what you can. I'm leaving this post unlocked, so pass it along to your friends and communities, and have them leave me some ideas. I don't care if it's all completely anonymous... I just want to have as many issues as humanly possible compiled.

Thank you!

*EDIT*
For those of you who are curious... this is not for a school project. This is a personal project that I intend to put a lot of work, heart, and soul into. So... there are NO stupid issues. Please - overwhelm me with even the petty issues!

Hiya...

So, some of you are here because you knew me as renalight and are not too prideful to take me back now that I have returned to LJ...

For those of you that don't know... I used to have an account here, but I left to try a blog on another site - which was a very dissapointing venture, indeed. But my friend affectingly seems to have constant positive experiences here on LJ... so I have come back with my tail between my legs. The only difference is that I have decided to start a new account to mark my new life - a new life that is only just beginning, and hopefully won't end with me dead at the hands of affectingly with our puppy lapping up the mess (yikes!).

This is a friends-only kind of thing, generally, so just comment and I'll add you. :)

BTW - If someone has some spiffy layout or icon magic that they would like to work for me, please let me know. I'm fairly useless in that department...
